these strangers in the street are stranger than they seem. they're walking by on repeat; they're walking right through me.

and i'm at peace with such a vicious world

spend most my nights, collecting my thoughts and
thinking about all the wars that i've lost. the lovers
that i've loved. there's trouble ahead, there always is,
for tomorrow just like the day before that. the day before last.
